BREAKING Royal Drama: Princess Charlotte REFUSES To Curtsy To Step-grandmother Camilla, the Queen’s Response SH0CKS ALL – Ngl

The moment Princess Charlotte forgot to curtsy to Queen Camilla during the Coronation Concert – and the touching reaction that followed

Of all the 20,000 people – and one frog – who attended King Charles‘s Coronation Concert, few rivalled the enjoyment of eight-year-old Princess Charlotte.

Featuring a star-studded lineup including Take That, Lionel Richie and Katy Perry, the young princess and her elder brother stole the show with their dancing from the front row of the Royal Box.

Held outside Windsor Castle on May 7, 2023, 10,000 lucky members of the public got their hands on free tickets to the two-hour concert, which was viewed by more than 10million people at home.

But for a young princess who was definitely up past her bedtime, royal protocol was likely the last thing on her mind.

As the most senior members of the Royal Family, the newly-crowned King and Queen were the last to take their seats in the royal box.

The couple were seated in the middle of the front row of the box – meaning they had to walk past the Prince and Princess of Wales and their two eldest children, Prince George, who was nine at the time, and Princess Charlotte, eight.

As her grandfather passed her, Princess Charlotte did her best curtsy as a mark of respect for the new King.

In doing so, Charlotte was accidentally turned away from Camilla as she passed – meaning she was too late to curtsy for the Queen.

In an adorable moment captured on camera, having witnessed Charlotte’s toppled curtsy, Queen Camilla tried to reassure her step-granddaughter.

As she walked past, Camilla gave the young royal a gentle pat on the shoulder – prompting Charlotte to smile back at her.

The concert came during a busy weekend for the little royals, who played a starring role in the Coronation to watch their grandfather being crowned King.

Later in the evening, Charlotte turned to her mother for help adjusting her wristband, which had become loose during the celebrations.

Charlotte looked to be struggling with the paper around her arm as she waved her Union flag about in the stands, looking lost before she sought out her mother.

Kate was quick to help her daughter by tightening the band so she could continue having fun.

Of all of the top-class performances that night, Charles seemed to enjoy the comedic musings of Miss Piggy and Kermit the Frog the most.

The Muppet characters even appeared in the royal box with them before the stage.

In the final performance of the Windsor Coronation Concert, Take That, who had not performed together for four years at that point, ended with Never Forget – as Kermit the Frog danced along.

William had slipped away so he could go on stage to give a moving tribute to his father, telling him: ‘Pa, we are all so proud of you.’

He also told King Charles that he had no doubt the late Queen Elizabeth, his ‘very proud mother’, would be ‘fondly’ looking down from heaven on his Coronation weekend.

The concert wasn’t the only time Charlotte’s cute curtsy took centre stage.

Earlier this year, a video of Charlotte’s first-ever public curtsy went viral on TikTok.

Aged two at the time, Charlotte dipped into a curtsy as she said goodbye to the Polish dignitaries who were seeing her family off as they departed Warsaw on the royal tour of Poland and Germany.

It appeared that Kate reminded her daughter to say thank you before they boarded the plane, and Charlotte dipped into a bob.

The princess, who celebrated her 10th birthday earlier this year, is third in line to the throne and is set to one day be Princess Royal, following in the footsteps of her great aunt, Princess Anne.

Because of changes in 2013 to the rules concerning the order of succession that mean male heirs are no longer prioritised above female heirs, Charlotte, born in 2015, became the first British princess to rank above a younger brother.

She has already won the hearts of fans for her elegant deportment in public and is often seen in charge of her brothers, particularly little Louis, at big family events.
