Messi is angry about spending 13 million euros to “save” Ronaldinho from Paraguayan prison

In addition to being good friends on and off the field, the Argentine superstar has regarded Ronaldinho as one of his idols. Messi is considered the successor to Ronaldinho at Barcelona after the Brazilian football legend parted ways with the Nou Camp.

This has sparked rumors that Messi is taking action to help the Brazilian legend escape legal troubles.

The information has garnered significant attention from the public, and many netizens have praised Messi for his friendship. However, the philanthropic act of the Barcelona star still needs verification.

In response to the discussions, Marca reached out to Messi’s lawyer for clarification. The newspaper reported that the Argentine forward seemed displeased with the notion that he had plans to financially or legally assist Ronaldinho in getting out of jail in Paraguay.

“Messi is very saddened by Ronaldinho’s situation, but he has not taken any economic or legal action to help the Brazilian football legend get out of prison.

He has not instructed his lawyer to assist in the case and will not pay the 4 million euros for bail,” Marca quoted Messi’s lawyer.

However, some Spanish media outlets still believe that Messi might be quietly supporting Ronaldinho behind the scenes. Currently, the case of Ronaldinho and his brother using forged passports and ID cards to enter Paraguay on March 4 is still under investigation. According to Paraguayan media, 15 people have been arrested and charged, including several officials related to passport and immigration issues. Ronaldinho and his brother were previously detained on March 6 and could face up to six months in prison at the National Police headquarters in the outskirts of the capital, Asuncion.
