LeBron James Opens Up: ‘I Don’t Think I’ll Ever Fully Recover to 100%

After sitting out for nearly 6 weeks, Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James officially returned yesterday (May 1) in the match against the Sacramento Kings.

James’s return did not bring victory to LA, but his presence on the field was enough to bring positive signals to the Lakers and fans of the yellow and purple team.

In the entire match, LeBron played 32 minutes and was not subject to any limitations on playing time. He had a pretty good performance with 16 points (6-12 FG), 8 rebounds and 7 assists but had 7 turnovers.

At the end of the match, LeBron James shared with the media about the feeling of returning to the field after a long period of recovery.

โ€œI feel fine,” the LA star replied to the reporter. โ€œIn terms of pace of play, I feel fine. Regarding my ankle, it gets tight sometimes, of course (because I just came back from injury). love).

But overall, I had a pretty good comeback, didn’t have any serious problems and still felt pretty good. This is the first step as I expected.”

Just like Los Angeles Lakers fans, LeBron James himself really wants to return to play soon.

The original plan for his return date was very close to the Playoffs round. But because he played yesterday, James has 3 weeks to regain form before the postseason begins.

“Since my injury, I’ve always thought about returning to play as soon as possible,” LeBron said.

โ€œMy hours of training and performing procedures related to injury recovery are even more than my hours of sleep. For 6 weeks, every day was like that, over and over again because I was eager to return to the field and help my teammates during the recent difficult period.”

โ€œI must say that I am extremely stressed and stressed. Honestly, this was the most stressful time in my entire career. But now things are better because I can go on the field, my mind has eased a bit.

However, I know that I will never be at 100% again. That is impossible. My whole career, I thought I would never recover 100% again, especially at this age,” LeBron James added.

Luckily for the Los Angeles Lakers, a LeBron James at 95% or even 90% is still better than a “king” sitting on the bench.

With that, James is on the other side of his career, where he plays thanks to his extremely high basketball IQ instead of using his strength like before. Even when his physical condition is not guaranteed, LeBron still has a way to bring positivity to the team he plays for.

Even so, the Lakers need LeBron James’ influence immediately. Yesterday’s loss to the Kings combined with Dallas’ win this morning caused Los Angeles to fall to 6th place in the Western rankings.

Right below LA is the 7th place Portland Trail Blazers, where its owner will have to play a series of Play-in matches to be able to lock in the Playoffs spot.

With Anthony Davis and LeBron James on the roster, the Los Angeles Lakers are still capable of defeating any opponent.

However, a superstar team that has just returned from injury and has to face many “emerging forces” will not be a very bright prospect for the defending champion in the near future.
