Have you ever tried out all the delicious cuisines that Tokyo Japan has to offer?

Let’s explore Tokyo together and make the most of this special opportunity.

Let’s search for some really tasty and one-of-a-kind dishes.

There are many dishes cooked in much more sophisticated and complex ways, whereas some are created very simply.

Hope that this video can introduce you a new perspective of Tokyo’s cuisine, which you can later use as a guide in your trip to this fantastic city.

This is Khoai Lang Thang.

Hope you enjoy the video.

Aomori – The day before, After checking out the hotel in Aomori, we moved to Shinkansen station to catch a trip to Tokyo, And this was our breakfast.

– Japanese rice balls.

With this dish, I’d prefer the scallop filling ones, as the scallop filled is very fatty.

Our main character had come Shinkansen’s bullet trains, which run very fast.

Then we entered the train, put our luggages to the storage.

After resting, in 3 hours we will arrive in Tokyo.

This train ticket was charged as much as the plane ticket, So if you are the loyal customer of this mean of transportation, you can purchase the full-packaged ticket from Jr brand to save the extra fee.

To be honest, this ticket still costs quite expensively, and for visitors only, So you should consider your financial state to purchase this type of ticket or not.

I just realized that customer servant in Japan is very charming.

Their tone of voice is very high and clear.

Sound very cute.

Because we can arrive in Tokyo after 3 hours, I decided not to eat anything else on the train in order to enjoy tastier dishes later in Tokyo.

Tokyo welcomed me in an beautiful afternoon with relaxing sunshine and a clear sky, And things keep flowing calmly.

I can’t wait to try Tokyo’s local specialties.

We are checking in to this hotel on our own.

They provide us 2 Ipads and after receiving rooms’ infos through our emails, we will fill in those infos by the given tablet to check-in.

My bros are finding the way to do so.

This whole process fits in this one room and after finishing we can follow that way to go to our room.

So this is our room for today- Just a little pretty apartment.

There are fridge, stove, microwave and e-cooker.

But hey, is the bed large enough for 3 of us?

The room looks really tiny.

What’s a hustle and bustle land.

There is also a small washing machine.

In Japan, soaking tub is always a must.

Oh so the toilet is located somewhere else.

Also, in Japanese’s toilet there’s always a toilet automatic bidet.

We can feel the warmth even in the chilly weather.

This is one of the basic standards in any hotel.

This item is essential, regardless of price range.

Hi, good morning, I’m Khoai.

Welcome you guys to my channel.

I’m wandering along a small canal.

The water is very crystal clear and the temperature is pleasant, between 11ยบ – 12ยบ. Yet there is no sunlight and the sky looks really cloudy.

However, thinking in a positive way, it doesn’t rain today.

Next, we will have a dish for breakfast, which is served at 10.30 am.

For me, 10.30 am is morning

And that dish is Japanese’s grilled eel.

That restaurant is just right in front of us.

Because it is Sunday, there are less people in wait.

Can I use my camera?

Quotah, of course”.

Thank you so much, Arigatou Gozaimasu. “Where are you gonna Eat”? &Quotcan we eat here”? &Quotyou can sit in our empty room, but there’ll be no water and Service”. “Are you okey”?

Yeah, sure, My waiting number is 91

And I will have to wait in 15 minutes.

You can see a whole basket of living eels right here.

Oh, and this is Freshwater eel.

After being processed, they will be steamed in that autoclave and grilled to raise the smoked aroma.

The steaming process is to cook the eels while still keeping the moist inside, And the exterior edge will be burned when grilled, which have a distinct scent at high temperatures.

There are 2 types: ones grilled with salt and ones grilled with sweet soy sauce.

I think this portion alone is enough.

&Quothow many chopsticks do you Want”? &Quot;3, please”.

She said.

She will guide us to the area where we can sit.

Quotwelcome”.

Thank you so much.

There’s this small eating room.

&Quotnormally, we close this area on the weekends and holidays.

We’re so sorry”.

So anyway, we are still lucky today.

&Quotplease, feel free to enjoy the food”.

Thank you so much.

“This bag is for throwing the trash inside”.

Thanks for your help.

She said that this eating area closed at the weekends and holidays, And even today is Sunday.

She may see our camera and give us an exception to eat in this area.

I will test my chopsticks-breaking talent again-

A little cracky, but it’s ok.

Here are our orders.

This is grilled eel bento.

Wow, it’s still really hot.

This side is grilled eels with salt and the other side is grilled eels with sweet soy sauce, And this is a separate skewer.

Do you know why I do so?

It’s because we still plans to enjoy many food and we will be so full if we order 2 bento Guys.

It smells so good.

I swear it smells delicious.

The burnt edge looks very beautiful and tasty.

I will take this nilon out, which may be used to separate 2 sauces from each other.

Hey, looks like the steam is rising.

So one portion got a tonne of rice and 4 big grilled eels plus these 2 pieces, and it’s 6 in total.

She told us that when we ate we just need soy sauce and a bit of wasabi, which is enough.

No need other spices.

This is the head part and this is the tail part In the preparation process.

The bone was removed completely and the skin is perfectly burnt.

It smells beautifully.

The taste of the eels is fatty and melted right away when we eat.

Close to the skin is the fat layer which create the fatty taste.

I will put a little wasabi on the eel piece.

I think she should give us spoons.

As the eels are so tender, I’m so scared of breaking it into pieces.

The soy sauce is a bit salty and smelly.

This dish is so bussin.

The burnt edges smell really good.

It’s so tender, right.

Like it’s gonna be torn apart, I will dip the eel in the soy sauce and wasabi mixture.

&Quotit doesn’t smell fishy at All”.

& Quotthe meat is delicious and fatty”.

Dip a piece Eat with rice.

This rice is very spongy and soft.

I realize that if the ingredients are good enough, a tasty dish just need simple cooking techniques.

Here comes the challenge: not to break the piece.

Nonoooo Ok, we’re failed.

“Why did they do it so Easily”.

We don’t need to dip this dish in sauce, as it’s already grilled with sweet soy sauce.

Just enjoy it right away

And you can eat like the way I did Eat this dish with rice.

The sauce’s sweet flavour is quite evident.

I guess it’s made from miso, sauce, sake and sugar to create the sticky texture.

I’m satisfied.

It’s a pity that they’re all gone in our stomach.

&Quotwe even thought of which dishes to eat next”.

So then what are we gonna eat?

How about some sushi &Quotomakase” Omakase?

There’re lots of Omakase restaurants in Japan which yet often close at the weekends.

So if famous restaurants are in your to-go list, you should avoid the weekends, as they usually close at that time.

Thank you so much.

I really enjoyed the food.

“Thank you for coming”.

“Did you enjoy the food?

Was it delicious”?

Yep Oishi “Was it”?

Yes, it’s really good.

Again, thanks you.

The people there were very hospitable and they can communicate in English a bit, So it’d be easy for us to travel here.

There are some beautiful sakura trees lying alongside the canal.

There’re so many of them.

Can you see all these schools of fish?

Their scales even reflect silver in the daylight.

Convenience stores are the next regional speciality that we must experience.

Right now I’m wandering around the convenience store.

The food that we’re finding is usually put aside: rice rolls or tofu.

Here it is.

Thank you so much.

So I will introduce the name of today’s cuisine.

It’s Natto, which is one of the foods that you will so in love if you can eat it, but if you cannot, there’s no way you can try it, Just like durian or shrimp paste, Because it has a very distinct flavor and it’s said to have a very good taste.

I will open the pack.

How much does this pack cost in the convenience store?

It’s 218 yen

And it’s equal to 40k Vnd.

So a combo costs that much and includes 3 portions Ta~da.

First sauce and yellow mustard stay aside.

Second, nilon wrap’s out.

You can see that it’s a bit icky and the special aroma rises right away.

Oh, my god~. These silks looks like spider webs.

It can stretch so Long~.

Ok, you’re out.

Natto is made of fermented soybean.

Fyi, Proteins in soybeans are converted by enzymes into smaller amino acid particles for easy absorption.

And I will teach you how to eat this dish.

First, mixing up in 1 circular direction, Just slowly, no need to be hurry.

After the beans are separated.

You should speed up.

About 50 times is enough.

The more you mix, the stringier it gets And of course it will taste much more yummy.

It’s evidently slimier when you mix it all up and the mixture becomes a bit white-ish.

Woahh, 46, 47, 48, 49, 50!.

The white sticky texture is the one connecting all the beans together.

The stickiness is the standard for this dish.

I personally don’t feel it’s smelly.

I feel like it smells similar to soybean powder, But it has a slight smell of stale rice.

Oh, I haven’t poured the sauce yet.

I have just finished the mixing step.

But I’m really scared of eating Natto under windy weather, As they will stick all over my face.

So let me eat before the wind rises.

So Frustrated~ These crazy stretchy silks.

It tastes a bit nutty, So stringy and sticky.

This Natto is perfectly slimy.

Have you ever tried durian’s seeds?

If Okra’s stickiness grade is 5/10, then that of Natto is 10/10.

Natto’s stickiness is twice as much as okra’s ones.

It even get slimier when I keep chewing.

To be honest, the smell doesn’t bother me that much.

Compared to fish sauce or durian, its smell just has a faint of overnight rice.

It may a bit smelly, but you could get used to it tho.

Look at how stretchy it could be.

Now it’s all over me.

Do you guys have any tissue?

Save me, I beg. &Quotok, now you even dropped your chopstick.

We just have 2 pairs of chopsticks only”.

It’s still stringy when I wipe my mouth.

It’s time for sauce and yellow mustard And mixing all up again.

Oh, it becomes liquid when sauce is poured in.

I think that it’s easier to enjoy in this way.

Now, Natto has both the sweet flavour of the sauce and the strong taste of the mustard, which can distract us from the smell of fermented soybeans.

People said that Natto is very good for your health.

Like I mentioned earlier, the enzim helps so much with the absorption process And it really shows us a new perspective of soybean’s taste.

I also think that I need to spend time to experience this dish daily so that I can get used to with this flavor.

Then may start to be addicted to it After experiencing this dish, I have to clear the smell of Natto by doing some activities.

So it’s about 12 Sth Pm.

As you can obviously see, it’s drizzling here and there and everyone is holding umbrellas.

There’s a bunch of folks walking on the same road as me, Looking to the left side precisely that long queue.

I also will get in the queue.

There’re about more than 10 people ahead me.

There’s a menu in front of the shop, Oh, and there’s also the owner welcoming us.

Hello, 8-leg friend, Hello *N Menu includes different combos.

Here are basic combos which will be served with just 3 side dishes, And these combos served with drinks will cost 300ยฅ extra.

And these combos down here will be served with barley-based drinks.

We have 2 people.

The waitress came to ask us some info to place us a suitable table.

Suprise, There is a queue of people waiting for tables to eat.

So now you may notice that in Japan we always have to line to eat even before the restaurants open or when the restaurants nearly close.

The additional reason is that we chose all the most well-known restaurants as we just travel Japan once in a while.

But it doesn’t matter tho, As this experience is once in a blue moon.

There are only 4 people remaining and we can finally get to our table And the line behind us is getting longer again.

Oh my, We finally can eattt.

Right after the moment this door opens wide.

Oh, and there’s a strange thing I’ve noticed.

First, this restaurant is located under the basement, Yet there’s a whole storage in front of the main entrance.

Tissues, drinks, plastic bags, cutlery are stored all right there.

Woah, so the capacity of this restaurant is justโ€ฆ.

Thank you.

So the restaurant is fitted only for around 13~14 pax.

There are 2 tables and some sits along the bar.

The steam vapors all over the kitchen And the waitress brought us 3 mini stoves in which a stone is placed to grill the meat.

I finally understand why it takes so long to have a table, Because the capacity is very limited.

Oh, That’s mine.

Thank you so much.

This bowl of rice is free, So if you want to have more rice, you can ask for it.

My order is the big size ones.

So there’re 2 Tonkatsu pieces, But I feel like it’s not as mouth-watering as my brother’s dish.

This one is medium-sized, has about 1.5 piece and This small size has only 1 piece.

3 of us ordered 3 sizes.

To compare and contrast, We have here 1 bowl of miso soup and our desserts are these attractive: mochi.

There’s also cod roe as side dish, Shredded cabbage and pickled veggies, and this’s mashed yam with wasabi on top.

Ok, next I will have my chopsticks ready.

We will use 2 different pairs.

Ones is for eating cooked food and ones is for grilling raw meat.

The beef has not yet 100% cooked.

That’s the reason why they told us to put this piece on this stone grill: The first piece, The second piece, The third piece.

Normally tonkatsu is made of pork.

The pork pieces will first be tenderized and they will be covered in bread crumps before deep-frying.

But in Japan, Beef Tonkatsu is also very popular.

Look at this beef tenderloin, The fat and the meat layers between each other.

This part is very tender and, especially after being grilled, the burnt edges will have a distinct barbecue flavor.

I will not overcook it.

Ok, let’s flip them over.

When it looks like this, it’s ready to be served.

This sauce has a sour and sesame flavor, and this one is just soy sauce mixed with vinegar.

Just choose your sauce based on your preference.

For me, I like the fatty taste, so I will dip in this sauce.

Please note that you should dip the crispy sides, as the sauce will soften them.

Put them on top of the rice.

Put this pair for grilling aside and use another pair to eat.

As I just sautรฉ, the moisture’s still very obvious.

Just like I imagined, the beef is very tender.

The edge is very crunchy.

The fattiness: It’s easy to bite into pieces.

The beef inside ain’t cooked well-done.

The sauce has a strong sesame flavor.

The sourness is also very good at stimulating the taste buds.

Look bussin.

The burnt edge is perfect.

With the crispy outside.

A bit wasabi goes on top.

The beef ‘melts’ right away in my mouth.

The outside bread crumps layer is not too thick.

The mixture of the fatty beef flavor, the rice and the pickles.

To be honest, this lunch seems to provide me sufficient nutritions.

Cod Roe, a very common dish in Japan and in every sushi restaurant.

Let me try some.

Uhm, a bit salty.

The cod roe is so ‘well-smashed’

That as soon as I put inside my mouth it melts away.

But it’s too salty for me.

They put inside the rice coix seeds.

Oh, it’s so similar to purple yam soup in Vietnam.

This is mochi for today’s dessert.

There’s a layer of soybean flakes on top.

It’s very soft but still very stretchy.

Ok so now we’ll pay for our meal and move to the next restaurant.

Thank you, Ahh, I’m Free~. Next to the former restaurant is a shop sellling candied apple.

This also a famous place, so queueing is inevitable Here, as you can see just apples coated by melted sugar.

So I guess we’ll pass this shop to go to the next place.

The weather today is really bad.

It’s getting cloudier and it’s been drizzling all the time.

But one plus point is that it’s not too cold.

The place that I’m heading to is Takeshita Street, which is a pedestrian shopping street lined with cafes and restaurants.

But it’s not too famous, Just a small charming street.

Still, I will walk along this street for convenience, As there’s a popular bakery round the corner And 1 more special place is located on this street is a Shiba coffee shop.

I’m so in love with these squishy, soft Creatures~ so I will come across the coffee shop to play with them.

This street is decorated with many colors.

This’s a strawberry shop and there’s a shop inspired by banana.

So Funny~. Loads of fashion, beautiques and other colorful shops.

These are extra-high bottom pairs of shoes, which is suitable for whoever has such preference.

It’s power ranger right, Go straight, then turn left

And we’ll arrive to the bakery.

Oh, I guess this shop mainly serves cakes.

Ah~, these are just decorations of a toy shop.

I think young people will love this type of street.

Wow, this store is amazing.

They have a huge selection of sweets for sale, Really suitable for sweet lover.

Ohh, the shop is full of children, But I guess we’re still young, right? &Quotis this the bread that we’re looking for”?

Ah, bingo, People are eating them.

So I will enter this bakery to buy the famous dish.

As you can see, these cream puffs are in long shape.

They look like churros, but trust me, these are cream puffs.

And over there there’s a cream machine which helps to fill in the puff.

Because of the strange shape, they need a customized machine to fill cream in fully, from the bottom to the head.

I know it’s a bit weird, but it’s interestingly effective.

The cream puffs’ aroma in this shop is really alluring, This buttery and milky smell and that baked flour’s aroma.

This place is crowded with foreigners And they come here to buy the famous Hokkaido cream puff.

Hokkaido is famous for its cow milk And Hakodate’s cream puff is very well-known.

So 2 of them collab with each other and become the distinct cream puff which is different from the cream puff’s taste from the Western.

The length of this cream puff is about 20cm.

The pump is also very long and pointed, based on the bread’s unique shape.

She consistently pierces the filling inside the cream puff with the pump.

Any spare move can poke the filling out of the crust.

That makes the cream puff less attractive.

Quotcan I have one of this and one of this”.

Thank you, Woah.

This is strawberry flavour

And this one is the basic cream puff.

The crust isโ€ฆ spongy, like the normal cream puff, but there’s some crispy crunch here and there.

The cream is buttery and milky.

Oh, the cream filling is so full.

Once again, the taste and the smell of the cream is very flavorful.

Can you hear the crunchy sounds.

The cream filling is specially strong.

I think if the cream is not cold it will be easy to fed up with eating.

These small spot is the crunchy ones.

The crust’s just spongy.

Personally, I think the strawberry flavor is not as good as the original ones.

I will recommend you to buy the original or the caramel flavor.

The strawberry in the filling tastes like a strawberry that has been damaged.

I don’t like the strawberry ones at all.

And we’ve arrived.

The Shiba coffee shop, Shiba waiting for Me~.

Aw, so cute~. Free drink’s included.

So we have free drinks included.

Oh so flash is not allowed, Camera is fine And pets are banned too.

When we go upstair of any store on this street, we can still take a look at all the shops.

&Quotthe instructions stated that you may queue up in this area only if you have tickets”.

Yeah, we haven’t purchased tickets yet.

There’s a long line.

At the mean time, I cannot believe why these doggies hold that strong power.

I see that 1 ticket costs 900ยฅ for 1 adult and 700ยฅ for 1 child.

So it’s about 160k Vnd.

I think they should charge children twice as much as adult, as I think they have more ‘strong’ actions toward puppies than adults, and adults like us will just hug or gently pet them.

So the adult’s ticket should be cheaper than the child’s ticket.

No, is the ticket sold out?

Oh my, the tickets have sold out.

*I don’t want to believe in this reality, so I go to the pet shop to sneakily see them*.

Kawai~Ii, Omg, Hello, little puppy.

This puppy cost 605kยฅ 120 Million Vnd.

How can I bring you home Then~.

This puppy really costs 120M Vnd.

I’m passed out~. Why are you have to be this expensive On this street?

There’re many people holding the ‘tour guide’ sign and introduce us this or that tour, And I think you should follow them.

Before you enter the street, there’s a sign with an English translation that says: &Quotdo not follow tour guides on this street”.

I reckon there must be an issue with these tour guides, and the police have cautioned us about it, So you should avoid these guys, as there’ll be problems coming to us.

I’m walking through Shibuya, which is a really busy area with many youngsters.

This place is also a popular tourist spot that is lively at night, with various shopping and entertainment options.

If you want to experience the nightlife, this place is a must-visit.

I think a lot of Vietnamese people are familiar with this busy transaction, which is full of pedestrians.

So I will head up to this spot to watch the pedestrian flow.

Oh, I spotted some cute cars over there.

It looks so worth trying.

The woman riding the purple car looks the coolest~.

The next stop can be found in the basement.

I’m gonna walk down the stairs to get there And here we go.

Another queue.

As usual, There’re a lot of vintage shops down here.

You can give it a go and spend sometime to window shopping.

From what I can observe, the styles are different from mine, Similar to the previous restaurant.

The standing menu is also shown for us while lining up, And now can you guess what we’re gonna eat?

They look like volcanos.

Oh, they have an egg on top.

The Wagyu beef ones are definitely more expensive than the basic ones.

The regular size is priced at 1700ยฅ and the price, inclusive of tax, is 1800ยฅ. The larger sizes are priced at 2600ยฅ and 3300ยฅ for 1.5 and 2 times the amount of beef-

The same with the basic type of beef, which is available at a lower price.

We have 3 people.

Quotdo You want the Japanese’s beef version”?

Yes, we’d love to.

It can be seen that the restaurant’s space is also warm and small.

Also, we’re gonna have to pay first and then eat later.

We spent a total of 7070ยฅ on our meal, which included three orders- About 1,3M Vnd.

Ok, thank you so much.

Okay, so three of us are going to sit directly in front of the bar.

It’s cool to watch the chef prepare our meals.

Over there, a bunch of meat is getting grilled in the oven.

So there’s this guy who, after grilling the meat, is using a cutting machine to slice it into thin pieces.

I couldn’t see properly, so I couldn’t fully observe how the meat was being sliced, But I guess that machine can sliced the meat into really thin pieces, And there’s this chef wearing gloves.

Then officially prepare our bowls.

Rice comes first, as always, then some cream sauce on top and lastly, nicely wrap the meat slices into volcano shape.

You can see that the hole on top the volcano was made on purpose.

Those meat slices are surprisingly thin.

I think this person’s ‘major’ is separating egg yolks.

The entire process moves from right to left.

They’re pouring a sauce made from apple, onion and leek.

The egg yolk is the thing put on top the volcano.

Oh, some boiled cabbage as decorations.

Finally, add some mayonnaise to the dish and it’s completed.

Like I said earlier, the small space of this restaurant is almost identical to the first one.

There are only 6 to 7 seats available in front of the bar and there are 2 to 3 tables that can accommodate around 10 people.

Therefore we have to queue and wait for the former customer to have a seat.

I believe the Japanese restaurant intends to provide a comfortable and intimate dining experience for their customers by creating a cosy and compact space.

Thank you, This dish looks quite simple: Some cream cheese, wasabi, The cutlery and tissue and a bowl of soup.

The beef still looks a bit pinky.

You may think that the meat is not cooked, but actually it was well-grilled.

This is Japanese’s Wagyu beef.

After being sliced thinly, You can tell that the fat and meat are combined perfectly, creating the well-known and distinct tenderness of this particular type of meat.

They are wrapped into volcano-shape.

The egg yolk is on top and has a sprinkle of pepper.

Oh, I just realized that the mayonnaise interestingly looks like the lava.

In Japan.

It is common to eat beef in dishes like hot pot or grilled dishes, often accompanied by egg yolks.

This particular dish also follows that tradition, just in a more attractive decoration.

So now the volcano’s gonna erupt, I will take a slice out.

They also look like the petals of a rose.

The beef is very tender and we have to dip the entire thing into the egg yolk,

As usual.

Some wasabi on top.

The beef is soft and has a good amount of fat.

It doesn’t take much force to chew.

The egg yolk is also very fatty.

This dish is good for those who are able to enjoy raw egg yolk.

I mean, if you don’t like the fatty taste that much, then you should order the basic beef.

The Wagyu ones eventually has more fat layers than normal beef.

The rice part is hidden under the beef volcano.

I ordered the least amount of rice, But it seems to be a lot of rice.

I’m gonna try the slice at the bottom, because I think it’s nicely dipped with sauce.

The top ones was less covered with sauce.

I’ll bite the meat into 2 pieces so that you can feel the tenderness online.

It’s melting yet a bit too fatty.

The apple sauce has a slight sweetness and sourness, But the mayonnaise is quite buttery, which make his dish become even more fatty.

I think it’ll be better when eating with rice.

Yes, I was right.

My order is the up-sized portion.

So there’re loads of beef.

The outside is very nicely decorated, but the inside, after being revealed, is damn ugly Again.

Some wasabi on top, as I just love the taste of it so much.

Some rice also, and then roll the beef slice over.

Oh my, can you see those broken slices?

This restaurant is great for people who love beef, But if you’re veggie addict like me, to be honestโ€ฆ.

It only has a small amount of vegetables.

Right in front of my eyes is the Shibuya Crossing, which is of course one of the most popular spots in Shibuya and with many people crossing at a time, I think this busy crossing scene is quite commonly utilized in many movies, which illustrates some traits of Japanese walking culture.

And now I’m gonna go with the flow to cross the road.

I’ll wait for others, then I’ll follow Them~. Tbh, this experience is just like normal street crossing, but everyone hold their phones on their hands to record this precious moment.

Oh, there’s a production crew over there filming Sth Omg.

Everyone’s recording this moment.

Yayy, it’s fun, Just like we celebrate some kind of festivals.

The first time I’ve witnessed people cross the road not for crossing purpose, Like.

It’s just for fun experiences to undergo the famous scene in such movies.

Oh, there’s many people stop to take some photos.

Also, I’ve just bought some drinks from the convenience store while my brother’s lining up.

I think it’ll take us at least 45 minutes to enter this restaurant.

There’re like 20 people ahead.

Us 3 customers have just left The chance we can enter.

This restaurant is getting closer, But we have no idea what’s the exact time.

We have waited for 20 mins under the drizzling weather.

It’s unfortunate that we don’t have an umbrella.

Ok, it’s time we finally could place out butts on the chair.

What’s a relief.

Behind us there’re also lots of people waiting.

We’ve received the menu first to look through the foods.

So the special dish here is this Yamaimo Yaki, which is made from the Japanese yam flour replacing the normal flour.

And here is Okonomi yaki, the Japanese’s pancakes that we might eat in Vietnam.

I’m gonna order this and the yam ones.

Our table is at the corner.

There’s a frying pan to heat up our pancakes to avoid the pancakes being cold, And then they put the smoke-sucking machine next to the pan, which prevents the restaurant from being smoked.

This space is heavily Japanese-culture designed Still that compact and cozy atmosphere with the capacity up to 30~40 pax.

I want to sit in front of the bar, but our group has quite many people.

So in Oder, to do that we have to book in advance, as this spots is very hot and rarely empty with people.

This is Yam Oyster pancake and this is pancakes with octopus fillings.

On top of them is the bonito.

He said that we should enjoy them right away.

This pan is very hot, so we have to eat them or they’ll be burnt.

I’ll take a small piece.

The yam part is a slightly burnt into dark-ish color.

I’m gonna try the first bite with the cabbage.

To be honest, the Japanese pancakes that we ate in Vietnam is made from the wheat flour, But here they replaced by the yam and mixed with cabbage and sautรฉ them so you can fully taste the yam flavor, A very interesting, unique flavor.

The yam creates a slight slimy texture, and this’s the fat oyster.

Uhmm, the oyster is very fresh and fat.

They served us 4 oysters when we have 3 people, so I’m gonna devour the last one first.

What’s a meaty oyster~.

So this is the happiness when you can eat more than other people in a table, 2 times as much as they can Eat~. This is a octopus piece, so I’ll enjoy it with the pancake.

Personally, I prefer the oyster ones, as it tastes fatty, meaty.

It looks kinda burnt, but you don’t know if it’s the best part or not.

I cannot rip it out, so I’m gonna have the whole bite.

The Yam being cooked too long can get very tough and a bit crunchy taste.

As you can see.

They stir cabbage, yam flour and egg into a mixture.

The bonito on top is as thin as a sheet of paper.

The camera is fixed and you are able to see that they are twirling around.

Scientifically, the reason comes from the heat of the food.

One positive point is that they use relatively less oil in these pancakes and many cabbages, And I can feel the healthiness eating this dish.

Oh my, why are you so Tough~. Oh~, the shrimp is finally revealed.

I’ll politely serve myself this baby Shrimp.

I’m gonna enjoy the shrimp flavour with some cabbage.

The bonito smells really good, which gives me a familiar feeling to the dried fish’s smell in Vietnam, but less strong.

The shrimp is crispy, but I believe it’s just refrigerated shrimp.

The local name for the Japanese’s pancake is Okonomi yaki.

‘Okonomi’ means everything like mixed ingredients and ‘Yaki’ means grill.

Oh, the pancake fell into my bowl.

If you plan the exact date to go to this restaurant, you should book the restaurant in advance and you can book the seats in front of the bar to directly see the chef make your dish.

It’s also an exciting experience, But my experience with this table over here is fairly great.

Now I’m gonna finish my meal.
