Former president Trump is returning to Butler, Pennsylvania, tomorrow.
He’s holding a rally at the same exact site where an attempted assassin’s bullet nearly took his life on July 13th.
It’s going to be an amazing, really.
You know, Butler has become quite a famous place.
The question is, how am I going to start the speech?
And I I think I was going to say as I was saying, because that’s about where I was.
I was very, very early, and if I didn’t have that chart, which I always bring up-
I rarely bring it up, but when I do, it’s always at the end of the speech
And it’s on my left, and here it was the first moment of the speech and it was on my right.
Had I not made that turn, I would not be speaking to you people today.
Wow
And Kaye, we know that at the Rnc, obviously, President Trump had a beautiful tribute to Cory Compor, with many speaking on his behalf.
We expect nothing less as well in Butler.
What do you think the President is also going to say and what do you foresee for us this weekend there?
This is going to be an incredible, powerful, historic moment.
Anyone who’s been to a Trump rally knows I’ve been to so many of them.
They’re inspiring events.
They’re great events.
There’s a lot of love of country.
This is going to be very, very different.
After a second assassination attempt, who would have thought, here we are him going to the scene showing American strength, but also the comparator family going to this scene, those two little girls, their mom going to the place where their dad shielded them from bullets and saved their lives.
What an incredible thing.
And David Dutch showing up as well.
David Dutch was shot once in the arm.
He was shot once in the liver.
He’s a former Marine and he is coming there too.
This is going to send a huge message to the country of American resolve, American Spirit, love of country, all of these people gathered together.
I cannot wait to watch it talk to us about the security.
What do, what do Americans expect in the way of security, and how do you think that will be sort of displayed?
Well, I I hope it’s on full display.
I I don’t think we should be hiding anything or holding secrets about protecting the former president or anyone on a hit list that Iran wants to take out, let alone the suspects who have already shown to be Americans.
At this point, Kaye and I were just talking about the event that got, uh, canceled last week in Wisconsin.
I mean they know that they are dealing with a rolling number of threats against our nation’s 45th president.
I would expect there to be a return of the Plex of glass, uh, which he uses.
I would expect there to be um, and I don’t know how they can do this with people in that that fairground, but in certain areas you can do a QR code to get in.
Um, I think that they are going to be watching people a little bit differently and and making sure that they vet.
I would expect to look nothing like our border where you can just Willy nearly walk on through um, they have to protect him and this is for everybody.
I mean I love what you say.
This is about unity in America.
It disgusts me that we don’t hear Democrats, people on the left, talking more about this issue, not just because Trump nearly was killed, but also because it could be anybody on that list.
It could be any of our, our high-profile leaders.
I mean I the push should be on.
Get to the bottom of everything I still feel like.
There’s a lot we don’t know in both investigations of both attempted assassinations.
Emily, let me just correct myself, David Dutch was shot once in the chest and once in the liver, and he’s a hero former Marine.
He’ll be there at the rally.
That’s right.
And Professor, to to Kay’s point about the, the message this sends of resilience and strength and Un and and pride in America and pride in in each other.
Uh, that’s coming at a time when Americans really need that message and it’s not coming from the current Administration, the qualities we want in an executive to handle these crises and to react with energy.
Which campaign is showing it right now?
You have one candidate, Kla Harris, who can’t be found, who’s kind of in this media bubble, won’t even have a press conference, won’t have any interactions with the public.
And then you have another candidate: hate Donald Trump or love Donald Trump.
This is incredibly Brave of him, courageous to show up at the exact spot where someone came, within a millimeter of killing him.
And you have to add yourself, when the pressure is on the presidency, when we’re in the middle of these wars, this border crisis, this economic problem, and which one of those two candidates is demonstrating the kind of character you want in a president?
And that brings me to my question for you, Kennedy, which is that many Independents or those who sort of had been on the fence after that first horrific attempted assassination attempt viewed president Trump at that moment as he got up and shouted: fight this incredible resolve and resilience.
There were many reports of people who said: I am on his train now.
I will support that man absolutely.
What message does it send with his return now?
And do you feel that this will help move the needle for anyone who hasn’t yet cast their vote to be solidly in the Trump Camp?
Well, that’s a really good question, because they say Pennsylvania is the path of the presidency.
Whoever wins Pennsylvania will probably win the presidency and it is a critical state.
But it’s also a state that that has been wounded by this, and you can’t imagine how much it means to the people of Butler and to the people of Pennsylvania to have the president go back and and the courage to John’s point.
It takes, not only in the moment, to stand up in the shock of it all and raise his fist in order to comfort the audience and let them know that he is okay
And he’s still fighting for them
And he wanted everyone in attendance to fight together.
But it’s a vastly different thing in the wake of that, knowing that he doesn’t have the secret service resources to go back to the very same place.
It is a totally different kind of courage and I
I think that that will be acknowledged by voters in Pennsylvania.
And three words come to mind when I think of him returning to Butler: nards of Steel.
Oh, I was thinking: stick it, iron.
Yes, I think it is.
It is.
It is clear what qualities I want in my commander-in-chief, and that’s the person in Butler tomorrow.
